First Restoration was highly recommended to remediate and clean the very fine silica dust that permeated a large part of our house after construction demolition gone wrong. They did a very thorough and professional job, cleaning every nook, cranny, book, furniture and object over a period of two weeks and were very sensitive to our concerns. Several months later, long after we had signed off on their work with our insurance, there was a small amount of silica dust that had settled from the ducts and because it’s impossible to remove every speck in one pass. Ryan came by and then send a team, free of charge, to wipe down and HEPA vacuum every surface in the affected area, a full day’s work. This is just one more indication of their commitment to do the finest work and to keep their clients fully satisfied with their service. I highly recommend them!

Craig and the entire First Restoration company took such amazing care of us during our tragedy. On Friday March 3 2023 we had a tree fall through our house and cars. These guys were on site immediately. They put up temporary walls and roof to prevent water from damaging our home more. They placed our belongings into storage. It has been a long road to being able to get back home. I picked our things up yesterday. Not only was everything safe and accounted for, they cleaned our sofa and furniture. A pipe above our bedroom froze in minus nine degrees and burst. We were out of town and returned to a flooded floor, caved in ceiling, and fallen insulation all over. Ryan from FRS came the next morning and got the ball rolling. It took a week to dry the floorswith a huge assortment of equipment. Someone was here daily checking progress. The ceiling was repaired excellently by Christian with new drywall and insulation and pattern and paint matching so exactly that we cannot tell where the damage was. FRS uses Five Step Carpet Care in Asheville to handle rugs. They came that day and took the sopping oriental rug away to dry and clean. It looks wonderful now.The office staff is so helpful and they allow payments with a card. They are in Fletcher, but came daily to Waynesville to keep everything going.I hope we never have another disaster, but if so, these are my go to guys!!

I was instructed to call a “mitigation” company by our insurance adjuster after we had a water leak/flood in our home. I had no idea who to call. After doing a few searches and luckily not calling one that had bad reviews, I stumbled onto First Restorations page. I saw a friend had posted good things and the majority of the reviews I read (very quickly) were raving about them. My first call was met with the upmost care for my situation and home. Within a half an hour (someone was close by thankfully) – someone from their management team came right over to access the situation. They said that a team would be back around 5:00 pm to start putting in mitigation equipment – (fans, dehumidifiers etc.). They showed up about 3:00 which was wonderful. All the young men on this mitigation team are polite and professional. They worked quickly and many of them were very knowledgeable about what was needed. They came out everyday to check the equipment and take moisture readings. The repair team also did a thorough estimate for the damages. There were a few ‘hiccups’ along the way with insurance and some miscommunication but a phone call to the main office was all it took. I have the highest respect for this company. We have enlisted the aid of 1st restoration’s services on two occasions. The first mess was a kitchen leak and Dawson responded. After a bad rainstorm one night we noticed water within the interior portion of our garage. After a week or so of drying out we noticed black mold. We made the call to First Restoration based off a recommendation from a friend. Dawson was assigned to our water damage/mold issue.
